SPURGEON: APRIL 8 EVENING DEVOTION
I, so often, resort to prayer in times of trouble as a way of trying to change my difficult circumstances. And, on occasion, the Lord is pleased to comply with my request and remove the outward difficulties. His preferred manner of navigating me thru tough times seems to be working His power and grace in ME, that I might not only endure the difficulty, but experience victory in it. May the Lord grant us faith and grace to submit to His wisdom and ways, and may we embrace the sovereign work of His Spirit in our weak and trembling hearts today.
