SPURGEON: APRIL 7 EVENING DEVOTION
God is unflinching in His calling sin sin. In love, He calls us to do the same. In calling sin sin, we lay our lives before God and open the door for Him to work. God works in our life thru repentance and faith. But repentance is weak when and where there is no open assessment, exposure, and confrontation of sin. The grace of God frees us to bring our deepest, darkest sin out into the light of His throne. Open, humble, brutally honest confession of sin before God is the privilege and opportunity belonging to the children of God. It’s the pathway to freedom for the princes of the King- the One who suffered for sin more than all others.
