As we examine ourselves, may we never forget our natural revulsion towards spiritual suffering. How Jesus stands with us, and yet is infinitely above us. It’s quite a challenge for our hearts to balance – on one hand, He is an intimate Friend who sticks closer than a brother, and on the other, He is the Lord of heaven, and even as a Man, stands infinitely above us.
