“Received up into glory.” — 1 Timothy 3:16
The glory of Jesus Christ will be the theme of heaven’s joy throughout eternity.
Perhaps it’s more accurate to speak of His glories (plural), though, for He had both intrinsic glories as eternal God Almighty and also attained glories as the incarnate God-Man. He entered His own creation and overcame sin and death via His suffering, sorrows and shame.
There is no more heavenly-minded occupation than searching after an understanding of Jesus’ glory in His incarnation, perfection, death and resurrection.
May the Spirit direct our hearts towards Jesus today.
