Spurgeon: June 20, Morning
“For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.” — Amos 9:9
We’ve all FELT God’s chastening hand, though we don’t always RECOGNIZE it as such. Since His correction is such a regular part of our relationship with Him (since we are all naturally wayward), it would be wise if we became proficient in recognizing and receiving His correction. He who is a scholar in the school of God’s chastening is sure to walk in the peaceable fruit of righteousness.
Lord, teach me of Your dealings with my soul today, I pray.
