SPURGEON: APRIL 17 MORNING DEVOTION
It’s ALWAYS good to start the day, washed in the blood of Christ, and allowing the cleansing flood to cover our sense of guilt, shame, anxiety, and doubt. Now when our souls are feeling heavy, weak, burdened, or spiritually troubled, when we’re confused, anxious, disturbed, and oppressed, then is it all the more essential to come to the blood of the Lamb, and have our consciences sprinkled clean. His blood makes all things right between me and God- even and especially in the matter of my sin. Whatever fallout or repercussions there may be on account of my sin and failure, NEVER is there anything that the blood of Christ doesn’t rectify completely before my heavenly Father. I’ll start the day on that foundation, and thank God for His Son’s death on my behalf.
